LEONARD FRANKLIN DEE

Leonard Franklin Dee, 74, Eastgate Apartments, Belle Plaine, died Sunday, March 19, 1989, at Beverly Manor Convalescent Center at Belle Plaine following a long illness.

He was born March 25, 1913, in Hartwick to Frank and Ivah Weaver Dee. He graduated from the Hartwick school in 1931. He was a farmer and a lifelong member of the Hartwick Community.

He was a member of the Hartwick Congregational church and served on the Hartwick Cemetery board.

He married Violet Bope January 16, 1935, at Brooklyn. She survives and also two sons, Roger of Boone and Allen of Madison, Tenn., eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded by his father in 1961, his mother in 1974, and a sister, Irene Stettler in 1936.

Funeral services were set for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from Hrabak's Belle Plaine. Rev. George Carlson of Hope Lutheran Church, Milton, Wis., officiated. Burial, in Union Cemetery, Hartwick. The body has been cremated.
