HARRY POLLARD WAS MONTE HIGH GRADUATE

Harry Cummings Pollard, the son of Walter and Blanche Cummings Pollard, was born at Sigourney, Iowa Sept. 5, 1912. As a young child, he moved with the family to Montezuma. There he received his primary education and graduated from the Montezuma High School in 1929. Following that, he was employed with the Thornaco Oil Co. and later the Pitka Ford Motor Co. in Montezuma.

On July 4, 1938 he was united in marriage to Miss Gertrude Beck at Lancaster, Mo. They made their home for several years in Montezuma later moving to Osage. In 1944 they moved to St. Ansgar, Iowa, where Polllard was the plant manager for the Cedar Valley Produce Co. Then in 1950 they moved to Faribault and for several years he was a foreman at the Faribo Turkey's Inc.

Funeral services for Harry C. Pollard were held at the Parker Funeral Home in Faribault Friday afternoon, Dec.29, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Charles E. Nelson, pastor of the Methodist church officiating.

He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; three daughters, Mary, 18, Jean 17, and Jill 9, all of Faribault; by his mother, Mrs. Blanche Pollard, Faribault; by a brother James Pollard of Osage, Iowa; by a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. William P. Brown, Montezuma, attended the services for her brother-in-law. Ed Fisher is one of the cousins.
