RITES MONDAY FOR MRS. STAHL WARNICK
Funeral services for Mrs. Stahl Warnick, 79, were held Monday afternoon at two o'clock at the McAninch chapel in Victor with the Rev. Robert Bowers of the Victor Methodist church officiating.
Mrs. Louise Korns was organist and accompanied Mrs. Laura Korns singing, "Old Rugged Cross" and "Beyond the Sunset." Flowers were in charge of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rhinehart and Mrs. Kenneth Benda.
Interment was in the Hartwick cemetery with Leo Warnick, jr., Donald Johnston, John Walther, Charles Kaufman, Leon Davis and Everett Williamson serving as pallbearers.
Elsie Williamson, daughter of William and Mary Williamson, was born on a farm south of Belle Plaine October 28, 1883. She received her education in the rural schools.
July 13, 1907, she was married to Phillip Stahl Warnick of Hartwick by the Rev. J.O. Robinson at the Methodist parsonage in Belle Plaine. Five children were born to the couple.
Mrs. Warnick lived most of her life in Hartwick and the surrounding community. She was switch-board operator for the Hartwick telephone company for several years.
Her health had been failing for the past few years and she had been living at the Goeke nursing home in Montezuma the past year. She passed away Friday, October 25, at 3:30 p.m. at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 27 days.
She is survived by her husband, Stahl; five children, Leo of Victor, Mrs. Lois Johnston of Cedar Rapids, Clark of Belle Plaine, Mrs. George Streit of Merritt Island, Florida and Edwin of Newton. Nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ora of Marengo, Cliff of Brooklyn, Ronald of Hartwick.
Her parents, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.
