Obituary dated March 8, 1904

Henry Worth Clark was born in Harrison County, Ohio, June 25, 1850, departed this life March 1, 1904. In 1856 he came to Iowa and has resided here ever since except seven years which he spent in Kansas. Nov. 29, 1879 he was united in marriage to Sara McFadden. To this union six children were born, four girls and two boys. Five of these children together with the mother and many other relatives remain to mourn his loss.

For more than ten years Mr. Clark has been afflicted with Bright's disease and has been almost a constant sufferer. The last illness was brief, yet the suffering was intense.

He passed away at the home two and one half miles northeast of Ewart. The funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at the United Presbyterian church of Ewart, of which Mrs. Clark and two of her sons are members. The sermon was preached by Rev. W.W. Woodburn of Grinnell. The services at the grave were conducted by the Knights of Pythias in accordance with an expressed wish of the deceased. Mr. Clark was well known and highly respected in the community and the funeral was very largely attended.
