FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MRS. MARY JANE LEE

Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon by Rev. John C. Lincoln for Mrs. Mary Jane Lee, mother of Mrs. N.B. Mincer, who passed away Saturday in Montezuma of pneumonia at the advanced age of 89 years, 2 months and 2 days. The services were held from the Mincer home on Second Ave. Burial was in Hazelwood. Mrs. Lee had lived many years in the county.

Mary Jane Lee was born in Greene Co., Ohio, September 15, 1834 and died November 17, 1923, at Montezuma, Iowa, at the age of 89 years 2 months and 2 days.

She was united in marriage to Thomas J. Lee September, 1854, at the age of 20. To this union were born 6 boys and 7 girls. Mr. Lee and four children precede her in death, and nine children remain to mourn her loss, also a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors.

Those surviving are: Mrs. Ellen Mincer, Mrs. Hannah Pugh of Grinnell; Frank, John, Bert in Cal.; Alice in Nebr.; Sarah in Webster City, Iowa; Susan in Washington state; Silas in Florida; all unable to be present at the funeral.
