PEGGY LOGSDON

Peggy Logsdon, 34, of Grinnell died of cancer Monday, Jan. 24, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. William Reynolds officiating. Music will be provided by St. Mary's Choir and organist Steve McCaslin.

Pallbearers will be Josh Dayton; Adam and Mike Fleming; Chris, Jim and Steve Harris; Kirk Puls; and Jason Reedy. Honorary bearers will be Randy Dickerson Jr.; Bryan, Justin and Joleen Fleming; Walt Harris; and Bob Thomazin. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of John and Sharon Thomazin Fleming, she was born Feb. 19, 1965, in Grinnell. She was a 1983 graduate of Grinnell High School. She attended Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls and was a 1989 graduate of Apollo College of Medical Technology in Chula Vista, Calif.

She was married to Terry Logsdon May 8, 1987, in El Cajon, Calif. They lived in Grinnell prior to moving to Cedar Rapids in 1993. They returned to Grinnell in 1998.

She was formerly employed by Grinnell Regional Medical Center and Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Since 1996 she had been a nursing assistant and later a medical assistant with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; her parents; one daughter, Bridget Fleming of Grinnell; and one brother, Bryan Fleming of Mason City. Her grandparents preceded her in death.
