MRS. RUTH ANN SHEPPY

Mrs. Ruth Ann Sheppy, widow of Edward Sheppy and one of the most esteemed and respected women of Newburg, died last Sunday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H.H. McCulloch, 2 1-2 miles southwest of Newburg, where she had gone for few days' visit. Mrs. Sheppy had been a sufferer from cardiac asthma, complicated by Bright's disease and her death, though sudden was not unexpected. She had passed her sixty-eighth birthday last October 6. Besides her daughter, Mrs. McCulloch, she is survived by another daughter, Mrs. O.P. Walker of this vicinity and by an adopted son, Thomas Mason.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock from the United Brethren church 3 3-4 miles southwest of Newburg and interment was in the cemetery there. Rev. Mr. Foster conducted the services. Mrs. Sheppy was well known and much esteemed throughtout the entire community and her death brings sorrow to a wide circle of friends.
