HENRY FRAHM

Henry Frahm, a prosperous and highly respected farmer living some ten miles southwest of Tama in the northeast corner of Chester township, Poweshiek county, died suddenly on the evening of New Year's Day of heart disease. He had suffered occasionally from the disease for a year or more, during which time he had often been under the care of physicians. On the day of his death, however, he had apparently been in better health than ususal and ate a hearty New Year's dinner. Early in the evening, without premonitory symptoms, he quietly passed away.

Mr. Frahm, whose entire life was spent in Sheridan or Chester townships, was born in the former township March 31, 1875, and died in his forty-sixth year. He is survived by his wife and two children and one step-child. Also surviving are one brother, John P. Frahm, and two sisters, Mrs. Carl Steuhm and Mrs. Henry Hagge, all of Columbia township. A brother, George Frahm, for some years a residsent of Tama, died of heart disease a few years ago.

The funeral services were held from St. John's Lutheran church in Columbia township Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. O.C. Biermann, of Malcom. Mrs. C.B. Harrison and J.A. McKeen sang to the piano accompaniment of Mrs. Spooner. The pall bearers were Gus Wiese, Henry J. Schmidt, F.H. Ehlers, Henry Ehlers, John Backen and John agge. Interment was in Maple Grove cemetery.--Tama Herald.
