WILL BAYER PASSES AWAY

Many friends of Will E. Bayer will regret to learn of his death at Ottumwa Thanksgiving noon. His death was caused from heart trouble. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Mr. Bayer's parents moved to Grinnell when he was a young boy and at one time his father was senior member of the firm of Bayer & Hornefius, with his store room in the Grinnell block. Their home was in the part of Grinnell which was destroyed by the cyclone and a sister was so seriously injured that she died in a few hours. Mr. Bayer's mother was also quite seriously injured.

Mr. Bayer made his home here for a good many years and was at one time owner of the Bayer grocery located on the corner where the A. & P. now stands. For a good many years he has been traveling at least most of the time.

J.E. Bayer is the only brother and the only member of the family left in this locality and is now visiting with his daughter, Mrs. Howard George at Newburg, Oregon.
