JENNIFER MANLY DIES IN CRASH

Jennifer Nell Manly 15, of Austin, Tex., formerly of Grinnell, died Sunday morning of injuries she received in a one-car accident on the south shore of West Lake Okoboji.

She was a passenger in a car driven by Laurie Spies, 17, of Graettinger, according to police.

Jennifer Manly was the daughter of William S. Manly of Liberty Hill, Tex., and Mrs. Robert H. Brown of Austin. She was also the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Manly of Grinnell.

Authorities said the car in which she was riding went out of control and struck a tree.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Weed-Corley Funeral Home in Austin, with burial at the Austin Memorial Park Cemetery.

Survivors include her parents; her brothers, Bill and Carter Manly, both of Austin; and her grandparents, Mrs. Jay H. Brown of Austin and Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Hall of Algona.
