MARYBEA LETTS DIES IN DENVER

Marybea Manly Letts, 62, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Grinnell, died of cancer Monday, Nov. 23, at her home.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Denver, with burial in a Denver cemetery.

She was the daughter of Charles M. and Nelle C. Manly and was born on Jan. 16, 1925, in Grinnell. She received her early education in Grinnell schools, graduating from Grinnell High School in 1942. She also attended Gulfport Women's College in Gulfport, Miss., for two years and graduated from Drake University in 1946.

On Aug. 25, 1947, she was married to Jack K. Letts in Grinnell. The couple lived in Des Moines, Casper, Wyo., Durango, Colo., and, for the last 20 years, in Denver. Mrs. Letts was a member of the P.E.O.

She is survived by her husband Jack of 3355 S. Newport St., Denver, Colo. 80222; two sons, Charles K. of Santa Ana, Calif., and Thomas D. of Denver; three daughters, Susan Johnson of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Joni Adams and Julie Fox, both of Denver; nine grandchildren; and three brothers, John C. Manly of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Charles M. Manly of Grinnell and William F. Manly of Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Robert C. Manly.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and left at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell, where friends may call for additional information.
