CONDUCT RITES TODAY FOR MRS. MARY E. HILL, 94

Mrs. Mary Etta Hill, 94, 1425 Third Ave., Grinnell, died Friday at a local hospital. She had been ill about 14 months.

Funeral services were held this afternoon (Monday) from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne A. Shireman, pastor of the First Baptist church officiating. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Rhee Auman.

Pallbearers were Tom Godfrey, Tom Clark, Paul Herrold, John Hotchkin, Foster Pugh, and Floyd Stewart. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Born Oct. 19, 1867 at Alexandria, Pa., she was the daughter of Adam and Mary Jane Sneath Dunlap. The Dunlap family moved to Grinnell when she was three years old and she had resided here since.

She was united in marriage with Charles Pugh and to that union was born one son, Floyd Pugh. Both her husband and son preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hill is survived by a sister, Mrs. Annie Christensen of Long Beach, Calif., five grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, six nieces, and three nephews.

She was a member of the First Baptist church of Grinnell and a former charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
