MRS. NOYES DIES AT 80 IN FLORIDA

Mrs. William Albert Noyes, 80, of 1114 W. Oregon St., widow of the late University of Illinois professor of chemistry, died Wednesday morning in Mound Park Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla.

Mrs. Noyes left Urbana in December to spend the winter in Florida.

A memorial service for Mrs. Noyes will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Congregational Church, Champaign, of which she was a member. The Rev. Waldo Savage, pastor, will officiate. Arrangements for burial are incomplete.

Mrs. Noyes, the former Katharine Haworth Macy, was married to Prof. Noyes on Nov. 25, 1913. They were the parents of Richard Macy and Henry Pierce Noyes.

Prof. Noyes had two other sons, William Albert Jr., and Charles Edmund Noyes, through former marriages.

HONORED BY U. OF I.

Prof. Noyes, who died Oct. 24, 1941, was honored in 1939 when the U. of I. chemistry building was christened the Noyes Chemical Laboratory. Prof. Noyes was an internationally known chemist and author.

Mrs. Noyes was a member of the Congregational Church, the University Club, American Association of University Women, the Chemistry Circle, the University of Illinois Women's Club, and was an active member of Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
