MRS. FANNY SLOAN

Mrs. Fanny Sloan passed away Tuesday evening, July 18, at her home 5 miles south of Grinnell, aged 72 years and 14 days. Death came after an illness of about six weeks.

The funeral was held at the Blue Point church at 1:30 this afternoon conducted by Rev. Robert Lincoln.

Mrs. Sloan was the widow of John Sloan, who died a number of years ago. She was born in Franklin, Ind., but had made this vicinity her home for a great number of years. The deceased was the mother of Mrs. Paul Kissock of this city. Other children surviving her death are, Peter and Johnny Sloan of Marshalltown, Emma and Ned Sloan of Des Moines, and Harve, Sam, and Bart, who lived on the home farm.
