TOM TALBOTT KILLS WIFE AND SUICIDES

Wellknown Brooklyn Realestate Man Brings Unhappy Wedded LIfe to Tragic Close.

MAD DEED FOLLOWS ATTEMPT AT RECONCILIATION

Mrs. Talbott Had Gone to Home of Her Mother in Fairbault, Minn.--Husband Followed.

Yielding to the frenzied jealousy which had wrecked the happiness of his married life, Tom Talbott, a well known real estate man of Brooklyn last Monday morning shot his wife three times, wounding her fatally, and then, after attempting to cut his own throat, ended his life with another bullet.

The tragedy occurred in *Fairbault, Minn., where Mrs. Talbott's mother makes her home and where Mrs. Talbott had gone after separating from her husband some little time ago. Her husband followed her there and the woman's little girl says that the couple quarreled all night long. Finally came the shots and the tragedy was consumated. Both the man and the woman have been buried in Fairbault.

Mrs. Talbott was formerly the wife of John Galbraith and lived south of Brooklyn. Mr. Galbraith died, leaving her with two children, a boy and a girl. About 6 or 8 years ago, she married Mr. Talbott. Their marriage has not been a happy one and finally the wife returned to her mother. The tragedy followed.

It is said that before her marriage with Galbraith the woman lived in or near Grinnell.
