WILLIAM R. MULLINS PASSED AWAY JUST BEFORE NOON TODAY

William Richard Mullins, longtime Grinnell business man and pharmacist, and prominent member of the Methodist church for a great many years, died just before noon today in a local hospital after a lingering illness. Mr. Mullins was 78 years old at his last birthday on May 27. He moved to Grinnell when he was 8 years old and has been a resident of this community for 70 years. He was the son of John and Martha Hammond Mullins. He is survived by his wife, and two daughters, Esther Mullins Auman of Grinnell and Evelyn, who is a member of the library staff of Iowa State Teachers College in Cedar Falls.
