PAUL C. LARSEN

Paul C. Larsen, 81, of Bremerton, Wash., formerly of Grinnell, died of congestive heart failure Sunday, May 20, 2007, in Bainbridge Island, Wash.

He was born May 6, 1926, in Grinnell, the son of Chris and Flossie Larsen. He graduated from Grinnell High School, then spent 20 years in grocery store retail sales until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Summit Avenue Presbyterian Church in Bremerton. He was a 45-year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 54 in Grinnell and Aerie 192 in Bremerton which he served as treasurer for nine years. He was an avid fan of boat races, assisting in organizing and carrying out hydrofoil boat races in Puget Sound in the 1990s.

He is survived by one brother, George Larsen of Ratcliff, Ky. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chris and Flossie Larsen.
