WALLIS RITES HELD IN DENVER

Archie Wallis of Denver, Colo., died Friday, Dec. 22, at his home there. He was a farmer in the Malcom area before moving to Denver.

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 26, at the Howard-Moore Memorial Chapel there, with the Rev. Floyd Northrup officiating. Burial was at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert and Richard Wallis of Denver, Merle and Phil Wallen of Marshalltown, and Chester and Michael Wallis of Colfax.

Archie Wallis was born Dec. 12, 1889, in Emden, Mo. He was married later to Eulelah Critchlow, also of Emden. The couple had celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary on Dec. 20.

Surviving him are his wife; a son, Lawrence of Grinnell; a daughter, Mrs. Olin (Mabel) Wallen of Marshalltown; a son, Raymond of Colfax; a son, Harold, of Denver; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen of Detroit, Mrs. Iva Churchwell of Denver, and Mrs. Irene Broders of Grinnell; one brother, John Wallis of Tucson, Ariz.; twelve grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wallis of Emden; and one brother, Monroe Wallis of Houston, Tex.
