ELISHA STRONG FUNERAL HELD

Funeral services for Elisha Ozero Strong, former Poweshiek county resident, were held at the Malcom M.E. church Wednesday afternoon. Interment was made in Ivy Hill cemetery. The services were conducted by the Rev. P.D. Aldershof, pastor of the church.

Elisha Ozero Strong, the third child of Dan O. and Mary Jane Strong, was born near Dayton, Berrien county, Mich., Feb. 13, 1859. At the age of five years he moved with his parents to Brooklyn, Iowa, arriving on March 17, 1864. In Brooklyn he was united in marriage to Josephine Meiser, *March 17, 1864. He lived in and around the vicinity of Malcom most of his life. Seventeen years ago they moved to Lone Tree, where he lived till he departed this life, July 18, 1932.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, five brothers and two sisters: George of Valley Junction, Ed of Malcom, John of Montezuma, Ben of Popejoy, Henry of Malcom, Mrs. Frank J. Swindal and Mrs. Henry Wiley, both of Malcom.
