BORN FEB. 1, 1885

Angie Eva Foster, daughter of Benjamin and Anna Foster, was born Feb. 1, 1885, at Allens Grove, Scott County, Iowa. When a small child, she came with her parents to Chester township and the remainder of her life was spent in and near Grinnell.

On December 18, 1907, she was united in marriage to Walter R. Clindinin at Newburg. To them were born four children, three daughters and one son: Mrs. Ruth Gould of Montezuma, Mrs. Mabel Esler of Grinnell and Harry at home. Helen Mae, an infant daughter, preceded her in death, also her father and mother.

THREE CHILDREN SURVIVE

Mrs. Clindinin united with the church of her faith when a young girl and had always lived a Christian life. She was a devoted wife and mother, who was always ready to help others in time of need.

She is survived by her husband, the three children, three grandchildren, Carolyn Marveen Esler, Myrna Kay and Walter James Gould; six brothers and four sisters, Fenton and Ralph Foster of Kellogg, Roy Foster of Newburg, Ray, Clarence and Earl Foster, Mrs. Fannie Huff, Mrs. Grace Harter, all of Grinnell, Mrs. Mae Chenoweth, Rock Island, Ill., and Mrs. Elsie Erwin of Haverhill, Iowa.

First among the fine qualities of Mrs. Clindinin's life were her faithfulness and loyalty. She was faithful to every duty and to every trust committed to her, and loyal to her home and friends. Her passing removes one of Grinnell's most useful and respected citizens.
