Newspaper obituary dated March 1, 1924

MRS. WILLIS EVANS CALLED BY DEATH

Mrs. Willis Evans passed away at the home of her mother, Mrs. Ella Brownell, about 10:45 o'clock Sunday morning. Although only twenty-one years old, she had been in poor health for several years and for the last two months had been bedfast. A severe attack last Christmas brought on her last illness.

Mrs. Evans attended Grinnell High School at one time and had a wide circle of acquaintances among the young people. Her marriage to Mr. Evans took place about two years ago. She is survived by her mother and sister in additon to her husband.

Funeral services will be held from the residence of Mrs. Ella Brownell at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The services will be conducted by Rev. W.J. Todd and Rev. C.A. Carman. Interment will be made at Hazelwood.
