GRACE ARNAMAN SERVICES SUNDAY

Funeral services for Grace Arnaman, 69, who died suddenly at Grinnell General Hospital Dec. 10, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ewart United Presbyterian Church.

The daughter of Thomas and Anna Jeffrey McConnell, she was born Sept. 4, 1900, on a farm near Ewart in Pleasant Township. She attended school in the Ewart vicinity, and was baptized and a life-long member of the Ewart United Presbyterian church. Mrs. Arnaman was also a member of the United Presbyterian Women's Association and Circle, as well as the Country Side Star's Club. She was also a life member of the Women's General Missionary Society of the United Presbyterian Church of North America.

On June 14, 1922, she married Charles L. Arnaman of Unionville, Mo. Most of the couple's married life was spent farming near Montezuma.

She is survived by her husband; two children, Ronald Charles of Grinnell and Mrs. Leonard (Annagrace) Goeke of Washington, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. W.E. (Janie) Hamilton and Mrs. Norman (Gladys) Hockett, both of Grinnell, and Mrs. Vesta (Leona) Johnston of Montezuma; numerous nieces and nephews, and other relatives, including her daughter-in-law, Irma, and her son-in-law, Leonard.

Officiating at the service was the Rev. Martin Gruneich. Organist was Barbara Braley, and vocalists were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Fitzgerald. Serving on the flower committee were Mr. and Mrs. Gerritt Septer and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Iverson.

Pallbearers included Lewis Baltisberger, Kenneth Haworth, James Van Arkel, Wilbur Jack, Gordon Braley and Craig Stanley.

Burial was in the Pleasant Township cemetery.
