LUCY HAUSBACH

Lucy "Tootie" Hausbach, 45, of Knoxville, a native of Grinnell, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, at her home.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Harden Funeral Home in New Sharon. The body was cremated.

She was born Feb. 28, 1949, in Grinnell, the daughter of Donald and Farrell Davis Halterman. She was raised and attended school in Grinnell.

She had lived in Kendallville, Ind., for several years prior to moving to Knoxville 1 1/2 years ago. She was a driver for Brooks Trucking of Knoxville. She was a member of the Moose Lodge Ladies Auxiliary in Kendallville and the Eagles Lodge in Knoxville.

Surviving are three sons, Gene Kephart of Knoxville, D. Scott Kephart of Pella and Billy Joe Kephart of La Plata, Mo.; her father, Donald Halterman of Moberly, Mo.; her mother and stepfather, Farrell and Eugene Dayton of New Sharon; one sister, Sharon Blanke of New Sharon; two stepsisters, Barbara Boots of Grinnell and Sally Mills of Provo, Utah; one stepbrother, Garry Dayton of Montezuma; and seven grandchildren.

Her long-time companion was Ralph Geesaman of Knoxville.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Hospice of Marion County.
