MRS. GALLOWAY DIES RECENTLY IN FLORIDA

A letter from Mrs. Burt Thompson in LaJolla, Calif., announces the sudden death in Florida recently of Mrs. Helen Bigelow Galloway of St. Paul. Mrs. Galloway had flown to Florida and was very sick when she left the plane. She was rushed to a hospital but died almost instantly before anything could be done for her.

Mrs. Galloway graduated from Grinnell college in 1895. Her brother, Herb Bigelow, prominent as head of the Brown-Bigelow specialty company, and her sister Geneva were also graduates of about that era and the family lived in Grinnell while the children were attending college.

Mrs. Galloway and her sister gave the handsome lanterns which were installed during the renovation of Herrick chapel a few years ago and Mrs. Galloway has been known as a good friend of the college.
