RITES TUESDAY FOR MRS. IDA BIGELOW

Mrs. Ida Bigelow, 94, died last Saturday at St. Francis hospital where she had been admitted last month. Mrs. Bigelow had been a Brooklyn resident for many years.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at Bramer Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. G.H. Hulsebus, pastor of First United Presbyterian church. Mrs. Ed Bartachek was organist.

Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery at Grinnell. Pallbearers were Roger Roudabush, Raymond Williams, Philip Yount, Frank Van Tomme, Terry Johnson and Ernest Andes. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Evans were flower attendants.

Ida White Bigelow, daughter of Thomas and Caroline Hadsell White, was born Feb. 21, 1870, at Belmont, Ohio, and died March 28, 1964, at Grinnell. The family came here from Ohio in 1880, locating on a farm in Madison township.

She was married at Grinnell Sept. 7, 1892, to Elber Bigelow who was a photographer. Following her husband's death, Mrs. Bigelow joined her sister, Viola White, in a millinery shop and later in the seamstress business in Brooklyn. They also managed a boarding house.

She was preceded in death by her husband; four sisters, Miss Viola White, Mrs. Laura Long, Mrs. Daisy Busch and Mrs. Arda Daniels and one brother, Almon White.

She leaves one sister-in-law, Mrs. Julia White of Brooklyn; six nieces; two nephews and several grand nieces and nephews.
