WILLIAM BURGGRAAF RITES HELD JULY 19

Funeral services for William Burggraaf, 83, of Barnes City, were held Tuesday afternoon, July 19, at the Union Mills Christian Church. The Rev. Ray Biggers officiated.

Music was provided by Mrs. Ret Duffus, Mrs. Howard Darland, Mrs. Howard Foster and Mrs. Walter Van Whye.

Burial was in Union Mills cemetery with Harlan Smith, Carl Plate, Walter Smith, Robert Burggraaf, Harold Burggraaf and Howard Darland serving as casket bearers.

Mr. Burggraaf died at his rural Barnes City home Sunday evening, July 17. He was the son of Albert and Gertie DePenning Burggraaf.

Survivors include his wife, Cora; two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Violet) Griggs of Higbee, Mo., and Miss Gertie Burggraaf, Oskaloosa; three sons, Arthur of New Sharon, Elmer of Deep River and Leonard of rural Barnes City; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Katie Kisor of New Sharon, Mrs. Jennie McMahon of Barnes City and Miss Martha Burggraaf of Mesa, Ariz.; and two brothers, Walter and Andrew, both of New Sharon.
