EDWARD MILLIGAN

Edward was the son of Timothy Edward and Anna Orrell Jones Milligan, and was born July 22, 1923 at Grinnell. He attended Grinnell schools and Grinnell High School.

Edward had lived all of his life in the Grinnell area and for the last 10 years in Malcom. He enjoyed fishing and working on cars. For many years he was involved in the construction business and brick laying; and the past few years he has been in the salvage business. He was a member of the Tama-Toledo Eagles Lodge #2828.

Edward is survived by his brother and sister: Vernon L. Milligan of Marshalltown & Margaret Ann Barns of Grinnell and several nieces and nephews.

Edward died at his home of an apparent heart condition June 22 at age 70. He was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Mary Lou Milligan; his father, Edward, Sept. 5, 1966; and his mother, Anna, April 25, 1984.

Graveside service was June 25 at Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell, with Rev. John Epperson of the Christian Church, Grinnell, officiating. Interment was in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell. Smith Funeral Home, Grinnell was in charge of arrangements.
