Linda J. Sirovy, 40, of New Sharon died Tuesday, May 8, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at New Sharon United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Fred Harris officiating. Burial was in Sheeley* Cemetery near New Sharon.

Memorials in her name may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation.

The daughter of Marvin and Evelyn Anderson Reed, she was born April 15, 1950, in Oskaloosa. She was a 1968 graduate of North Mahaska High School and was a member of the New Sharon United Methodist Church. She had lived in the New Sharon and Grinnell areas all her life.

Survivors include her parents; one brother, Jim Reed of New Sharon; a sister, Vivienne Lund of Chicago; a step-daughter, Rita McKernon of New Sharon; and two step-grandsons. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Tammie.

Transcriber's Note: Ms. Sirovy's infant daughter, Tammy Adele Sirovy, died in 1970 and is also buried in Sheley Cemetery.
