NORA HOYLE SERVICES CONDUCTED MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Nora B. Hoyle were conducted by the Rev. Howard Hayes at 2 p.m. Monday, May 22, at the Steffy Funeral Home. Mr. Dean Lankford was soloist at the services accompanied by Miss Alice Underwood, organist.

Interment was in Masonic-IOOF Cemetery at Montezuma. The following served as casket bearers: Robert Fulton, Harold Swanson, Jake Van Hoever, Bud Baird, Cliff Smith and Walter Hockey.

Mrs. Hoyle, 91, died in Montezuma, Saturday, May 20.

Nora, daughter of Angelina and Boyd Sheley, was born in Poweshiek County on July 15, 1875. In her youth she attended rural school and the Methodist Sunday School and Church.

In 1904 she was united in marriage with Jonah Hoyle. They made their home near Montezuma for several years and later moved to Ventura, Iowa, where they engaged in farming.

After Mr. Hoyle's death in 1936, she returned to Montezuma. Several years ago she lost her eyesight and has been cared for in the Baird Custodial Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, John an Henry Sheley; and one sister, Mrs. Iowa Momeyer.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Molly Duffus of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Virda Luymes of Clear Lake, Iowa.
