OBITUARY

MRS. SARAH HORN

The funeral of the late Sarah Horn was held from her late residence at 927 Summer street, on Monday, December 9.

Sarah Ann Horn was born in Perry county, Pennsylvania, in 1838. When nine years of age she came with her parents to Cedar county. In 1858 she was united in marriage to Josiah Horn, who preceded her in death 21 years ago. To this union were born four children, Charles Horn, George Horn, and Catharine Smith of Grinnell and Mrs. Ella Scull, of Wilton.

When very young she united with the Methodist church and continued a member until her death. She resided in Cedar county until about ten years ago, when she moved to Grinnell where she has since made her home, and here she passed away on December 7. She is survived by four children who were present at the funeral, 13 grandchildren, six of whom were her pallbearers: Harry, Marshall and Arthur Horn, Clarence and Edgar Smith, and Walter Scull. Two great-grandsons and three sisters and one brother survive her.
