HENRY SHELEY FUNERAL HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON

The funeral of Henry Sheley was conducted Tuesday afternoon by Rev. G.R. Dieken at the Steffy Funeral Home. William Rempp accompanied by Miss Alice Underwood, sang several selections.

Casket bearers were Walter Hockey, Kenneth Hockey, Jake Van Hoever, Irwin Walsh, Roger Frazier and Harold Swanson. Interment was in Masonic IOOF Cemetery.

Henry, son of Angelina and Boyd Sheley, was born in Poweshiek County, April 7, 1888, and passed away in St. Francis Hospital, Grinnell, Feb. 20, at 76 years of age.

In his youth he attended rural school. On Feb. 23, 1921, he married Nona Elam. They lived on a farm south of Montezuma for several years, spent two years on a farm near Macon, Mo., and several years they lived in Grinnell, where Henry worked in a shoe factory. They have resided in Montezuma the past 10 years.

He is survived by his widow, Nona, and three sisters, Nora Hoyle, Montezuma; Verda Lumes, Clear Lake, Iowa; and Molly Duffus, Long Beach, Calif.
