LESTER HILL FUNERAL RITES SET WEDNESDAY

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home for Lester Belmond Hill, 62, who died Saturday at a Grinnell hospital following a heart attack.

Surviving are his wife Myrtle and four children: Lester Belmond Hill Jr. of Fairfield, Calif., Clayton L. Beam of Atwater, Calif., and George E. Beam and Betty (Mrs. Virgil) Innis, both of Grinnell. Also surviving are six grandchildren.

Son of the late Joseph Robert Hill and Julia Clatterbuck Hill, he was born in Fulton, Mo., on Dec. 26, 1894. He was married Aug. 7, 1925, at Villard, Minn., to Myrtle Hulbert Beam.

He came to Grinnell in 1925. He worked at farming and later worked in a local meat market, then established his own custom butchering business. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church and the Knights of Pythias. He served as a trustee and elder in t he United Presbyterian church.

The Rev. E.E. Beattie, minister of the United Presbyterian church, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery. Flower bearers are Mr. and Mrs. James McNally. Pallbearers are Shirley Dale, Bill Barnes, Eugene Holley, James Peak, John Peak and Laurence Sidle. Mrs. Eugene Holley will provide the music.
