BEULAH L. DOTY, 81

Mrs. Beulah L. Doty, 81, of Brooklyn, died Monday, Jan. 9, 2006 in her home.

Funeral services for Beulah Doty were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Malcom. Rev. Herb J. Knudten, Pastor, officiated and the musician was Teresa Ziegenmeyer. Special selections were "Amazing Grace," "How Great Thou Art" and "Rock of Ages." Casket-bearers were Michael Hemryck, Michael Bombei, Michael Shook, Jason Bell, John Shook and Keith Teggatz. Interment was in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.

Nevenhoven Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Beulah Lorna Berstler Doty was born June 20, 1924, at Williamsburg. Her parents were Samuel Bertsler and Viola Brawner Berstler.

Beulah received her education at Millersburg. She was last employed as a cook for White Pigeon School, in White Pigeon, Mich.

She was married to Ross Eugene Doty on April 16, 1974, at North English. They lived in Florida before returning to Iowa. Mrs. Doty was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Malcom.

Her parents; her brother, Merle Berstler; and her sister, Leona Roberts, preceded her in death.

Surviving are husband, Ross of Brooklyn; two daughters, Frankie Hemryck and husband, Paul, of Warren, Mich., and Mary Bell and husband, Jason, of Montezuma; three sons, Emery Kropf and wife, Bernice, of Omaha, Neb., Elmer Kropf of Three Rivers, Mich., and John Kropf and wife, Debra, of Orlando, Fla.; a brother, Harold Berstler of Millersburg; twenty grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.
