SATURDAY RITES FOR IRENE BUSCH

Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Busch were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Presbyterian church with Rev. George Roquet officiating. Burial was in I.O.O.F. cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Montgomery, Ed Veverka, Robert Read, Charles Jones, Ernie Andes and Able Doty. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Calderwood and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Montgomery were flower attendants.

Mrs. Busch died at her home, East Second street, November 17, 1966.

Irene Grace Severe was born Dec. 25, 1915 and spent all of her life in the Brooklyn area, graduating from high school in 1934. She was married to Harry Almon Busch and the couple farmed until moving to Brooklyn about 11 years ago. Mr. Busch died in 1962. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and a representative for the Avon company.

Survivors include her children, Darwin Busch and Caroline Busch Kugel of Cedar Rapids; her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. E.M. Severe, Brooklyn; a brother, James Severe, Grinnell; three sisters, Mrs. Hilary (Mildred) Zeller, Palo, Mrs. Florian (Mary Alice) Dvorak, Newhall, and Mrs. Ronald (Eleanor) Kugel, Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by a son, Larry, her mother and one sister.
