EDITH LADELY SERVICES HELD

Edith D. Ladely, 82, died Wednesday evening at the Simpson Memorial Home in West Liberty, follwing an extended illness.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Snider Funeral Home, West Liberty, with the Rev. Dick Watkins officiating. Graveside services were held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Goldenrod Cemetery, Deep River.

The daughter of Conrad and Myrtle Reinhardt Van Fossen, she was born Dec. 2, 1896, near Deep River. On Feb. 18, 1913, she was married to Elmer Ladely at Keswick. The couple (lived)? in the Deep River area until moving to West Liberty eight years ago.

Mrs. Ladely is survived by her husband; two sons, LaVern of Grinnell and Marion of Montezuma; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia McVay of West Liberty, Mrs. Luetta Thompson of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Lucille Simpson of Toledo; one sister, Mrs. Bernice Bassett of Springfield, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister.
