ALMA OGAN

Alma Louetta Ogan, 87, died of Alzheimer's disease Saturday, April 6, at St. Francis Manor.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Watts Funeral Home in Montezuma, with the Rev. Daniel Ogata officiating. Organist was Kathleen Ramsey, and soloist was Rhonda Minner. Pallbearers were Phillip, David and Lyle "Butch" Lemke and Robert, Michael and Mark Ogan. Burial was in Pleasant Township Cemetery, Ewart.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Ogan's name may be made to the Ewart Presbyterian Church.

The daughter of Charles and Nettie Kelsey Eash, she was born Oct. 24, 1908, in Tama County. She attended schools in Marshall county.

She was married to Ralph Ogan Aug. 4, 1928, in Marshalltown. They farmed in Marshall and Poweshiek counties and since 1940, in the Ewart and Montezuma areas. They moved to Montezuma after retiring from farming in 1971.

Mrs. Ogan entered Friendship Manor in July 1989 and moved to St. Francis Manor in 1990.

She is survived by one daughter, Shirley Lemke of Oskaloosa; one son, Ronald of Osceola; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; two adopted great-grandchildren; two adopted great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Eash of Grinnell; and two sisters, Bernice Honeck of State Center and and Maxine Spence of Marshalltown. She was preceded death by her parents; her husband; one son, Ralph Jr.; five brothers, Timothy, Alfred, Hollis, Dwight and Dale Eash; four grandchildren and one great-grandson.
