CURTIS M. NEWTON DIED WEDNESDAY AGED 72 YEARS

Curtis Monroe Newton died Wednesday afternoon in a local hospital after a period of failing health. He had made his home in Grinnell for seven years and had been in the employ of the West Side service center. He was 72 years old.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Smith funeral home in charge of Rev. W.F. Overhulser. The body will be taken Friday to Mitchell, S.Dak., for funeral services at 1 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial will be made in Graceland cemetery there.
