MRS. WITTENBURG FUNERAL RITES THIS SATURDAY

Funeral services will be held this Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Smith funeral home for Mrs. Nina Bernice Wittenburg, 55, who died Wednesday at an Iowa City hospital after an illness of a few months. Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

She was born July 16, 1901 in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Curt Newton and Mabel Kibbee Newton who survives at Mt. Vernon, S.D. She was married Feb. 22, 1927 at Brooklyn to William J. Wittenburg. They hade lived in Union township of Hardin county.

Survivors include her mother, her husband, four children, Clarice Mullins of Grinnell, Robert of Lancaster, Calif., Betty Lou Rindles of Des Moines and Wallace of the home.

Also surviving are a brother, Chester Newton of Mt. Vernon, S.D. and two sisters, Alverta Mathis of Woonsocket, S.D. and Francis Moore of Mitchell, S.D.
