HOLD RITES FOR MR. DUSTERHOFT

Clarence M. Dusterhoft, 79, of Victor died Monday, March 17, at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services for Clarence Dusterhoft were held on Wednesday, March 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Victor, with the Rev. Eugene Hoenig, pastor of the church, officiating. Organist for the mass was Mrs. Robert Dentel.

Concluding services and burial were at Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers were Richard Sadler, Edward Sadler, John Wichmann, Ronald Dusterhoft, Mark Dusterhoft, and Tom Dusterhoft. Honorary casket bearers were Dennis Wichmann, Brian Dusterhoft and Jason Dusterhoft.

The parish rosary was held Tuesday, March 13, at 8 p.m. in the McAninch-Fremming Chapel in Victor.

Born Jan. 27, 1901 north of Victor, he was the son of George Adam and Mary Theresa Wegienek Dusterhoft. He attended rural schools in Iowa County and at St. John's Parochial School in Victor.

On Feb. 12, 1929, he married Mary Louise Keenan at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Grinnell. The couple had four children, George Martin, Mary Ailene, Marguerite and Paul Keenan.

Following their marriage, they established their home on the family farm south of Victor where they resided until 1954, when they moved to Victor. The Victor home was his home at the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lawrence.

Surviving him are his wife, Mary Louise, of Victor; his children, George of Des Moines, Mrs. Richard (Mary) Sadler of Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Charles (Marguerite) Wichmann of Dubuque, and Paul of Lone Tree; and two sisters, Mrs. Mike (Ann) Lawler of Victor and Mrs. R.M. (Marie) Cavanaugh of Victor.
