LAST SERVICES FOR SAM'L OSBORN THIS AFTERNOON

Funeral services for Samuel Osborn, who passed away Saturday, were held from the Methodist church in Grinnell at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon, conducted by Rev. W.B. Wilson. Music was furnished by Mrs. Margery Bouma and Mrs. Roscoe Dempster. Pallbearers were Robert Osborn, Wayne Osborn, Paul Erickson, Keith Warne, Ed Heyle and Carl Tokle. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Mr. Osborn was born in Worchestershire, England, February 9, 1855, and would have been 87 years old on his next birthday. He had lived in this community 33 years. His active life was spent on a farm northeast of Grinnell. Since the death of his wife in 1926 he had been living with his son Will Osborn, at 505 Broad street, where he died at 4:15 o'clock Satuday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Osborn were parents of five children, one of whom, Mrs. (???) Stickle, died a number of years ago. The surviving children are Mrs. Maude Warne of Villisca and Mrs. Amy Erickson, John S. and W.J. Osborn, all of Grinnell.
