ARTHUR W. FIELDS

Arthur W. Fields was born in Mason county, Ohio, Feb. 1, 1862, and died at Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jan. 11, 1946, at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 11 days. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.

Arthur came with his parents from Ohio and lived at Brooklyn, Iowa, for several years. They then came to Portsmouth, 44 years ago and he made his home there until Dec. 29, 1945, when he moved to the Gilmore Home in Council Bluffs where he passed away.

During the most of his life he was in the employ of the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Paul R.R. He was a member of the Methodist Epsicopal church. He leaves to mourn his death a large host of friends. There are no relatives in this part of the country.

Funeral services were conducted from the Schack Funeral Home by Rev. Henry Esch, pastor of the Christian Church. The music was furnished by Misses Dorothy Savereide and Lois Jen Hicks. Burial was near Portsmouth.

NOTE: Arthur W. Fields was son of Barney Fields and Susan D. Keysor and birthplace was probably Morrow Co. Ohio. --MH
