WM. C. MOUCHKA FUNERAL HELD TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT STEFFY FUNERAL HOME

Funeral services for William C. Mouchka were conducted by Rev. Myron Harris, Grinnell, at the Steffy Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 26. The organist was Mrs. Wm. Landstrum.

Interment was in Jackson Township Cemetery with Lewis McKee, Dale Montgomery, Roscoe Hutton, Marvin Campbell, Paul Hudnut and Oliver Hudnut serving as casket bearers.

William C., son of Wesley and Annie Mouchka, was born at Millersburg, Iowa, May 16, 1898, and passed away at his home in Montezuma Sunday, January 24. He was 66.

In his youth he moved with his parents to a farm near Pierre, S.D., where they lived for three years and then moved to Belle Plaine, Iowa, where he attended school.

On Jan. 5, 1921, he married Lela Babb. They lived on a farm in the Beulah community until 1924, when they moved to Newton. He was employed by Maytag until returning to a farm in the Beulah neighborhood in 1928.

About a year ago he became ill and they moved to their present home in Montezuma last fall.

William was a member of Tennyson Lodge #530, AF & AM, and the Eastern Star, of Barnes City.

Mr. Mouchka is survived by his wife, their son Harold; a grandson, Roger; four brothers, Frank, Charlie, George and Bennie; and a sister, Anna Thorn.
