HENRY FRAHM SERVICES HELD

Henry P.J. Frahm, 90, a longtime resident of Poweshiek County, died Feb. 8.

Funeral services were conducted Feb. 11 at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Tama, with the Rev. Alfred Kaupins officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery, rural Tama.

The son of Henry and Mathilda Ahlers Frahm, he was born on Aug. 5, 1895, at the family's Maple Hill Farm in Sheridan Township, Poweshiek County. He attended rural school.

On Feb. 16, 1916, he was married to Dora Ellen Rehberg, south of Grinnell. They farmed until moving to Tama in 1951. In 1983, they entered Bethesda Care Center in Toledo.

Mr. Frahm was a charter member of the Poweshiek County Farm Bureau and was active in St. John Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Maple Grove Cemetery Association and served for many years as a trustee of the association.

Survivors include three daughters, Henrietta Kerner of Rock Island, Ill., Florence Wallisa of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mathilda Wade of rural Grinnell; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Katherine Rix; and his wife, Dora, on Dec. 5, 1985.
