- Died, on Saturday, July 26,1890, at the family residence four miles northwest of Malcom, Renade Dosdall Schultz, wife of Frederick Theodore Schultz, after an illness of six weeks.  Deceased was born in Buchwerder, Prussian Germany, Feb. 1st, 1841, and came to this country in 1866.  She was baptised a week after her birth in the Evangelical Lutheran Church and was confirmed Oct. 29th, 1854.  She was married to her now bereaved husband April 2nd, 1867, and leaves four children to mourn her death, two of them being step-children.*  William Dosdall and Mrs. Frank Kelm are her brother and sister, the only relatives she had on this side of the ocean.  The funeral exercises occurred at the Evangelical Lutheran Church northwest of town on last Monday, Rev. Joseph Meyer officiating.  A large concourse of neighbors and friends followed her remains to the cemetery.  Mrs. Schultz was a good woman.  She loved her husband and children and delighted in entertaining her friends.  THE LEADER family has on several occasions enjoyed her hospitality and good cheer and will long cherish her memory.  Mr. Schultz desires us to express to his neighbors and friends his appreciation of their kind attentions during her late illness.

- The Malcom Leader(?), late July, 1890
