FUNERAL OF KATHERINE OSBORN IS HELD SUNDAY

Katherine E. Osborn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Osborn was born April 23, 1924 near Grinnell and passed away Feb. 11, 1937, at 9:30 at the Community Hospital in Grinnell.

She has lived on a farm near Grinnell all her life and attended the rural schools. She was a member of Mrs. Powell's Sunday School class of the M.E. church. She is survived by her parents, one sister, Marie, three brothers, Robert, Wayne and Keith, her grandmother, Mrs. Matilda MacDowell, her grandfather, Mr. Sam Osborn, all of Grinnell, a number of aunts and uncles, and many friends who will miss her greatly. She loved her home and was always very thoughtful of those about her.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Chas. R. Rowe. The hymns, "Sometime We'll Understand" and "Jewels" were sung by Mrs. Roscoe Dempster and Mrs. Margery Bouma. Flower bearers were Addie Marie McDowell, Wilma Lincoln and L.R. Terpstra. Pall bearers were William Laymiller, Paul Erickson, Wilbur Hutchison, Junior Hutchison, Edwin Lincoln, and Raymond Warne. Burial was in Hazelwood cemetery.
