MRS. "BILL" DAY PASSES AWAY IN ASHLAND, OREGON

Word received today by Mrs. Ruby McBlain announces the death of Mrs. W.H. Day at her home in Ashland, Oregon. Mr. Day, for many years foreman of The Grinnell Herald died about two years ago. After leaving The Herald many years ago, he emigrated to Ashland, and became prominent in Masonic circles. He was a unique character as well as a fine printer and many stories reflecting his freakish humor are still current among Grinnell old timers.

Mrs. McBlain visited Mrs. Day last summer. She was nearly 90 years old and had been in remarkably good health until very recently.
