Betty J. Hickey, 57, Eldon, died Friday at her home. She was born Nov. 27, 1939, in Grinnell, Iowa, a daughter of William E. Reynolds and Nellie Karr. She was married March 4, 1961, in Miller County [MO] to Mitchel D. Hickey, who survives at the home.
A 1957 graduate of Eldon High School, she had been a salesperson with Orscheln Farm and Home Supply since 1989. She previously worked for International Shoe Co. in Eldon and in Jefferson City and for Kel-Am in Eldon. She was a member of Aurora Springs Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for several years.
Other survivors include: One son, Ryan Hickey, of the home; two daughters, Dianne M. Jackson, Coral Springs, Fla., and Lisa R. Homan, Eldon; one brother, Bill Reynolds, Mountain View; one sister, Shirley Scrivner, Olean; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Aurora Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Ernie Buscher will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home, Eldon. Memorials are suggested to Missouri River Hospice.
