CONDUCT FUNERAL RITES TODAY FOR LEE SHEELER, 64

Isaac Lee Sheeler, 64, of 1710 4th Avenue, died late Monday evening at a Rochester, Minn. hospital. He had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services were held this afternoon (Thursday) from the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Rain, pastor of the Presbyterian church, officiating. Organ music was provided by Mrs. Eugene Holley.

Pallbearers were Sam Urfer, Jim Urfer, Arlo Worth, Hollis Parmley, Verlin Adkins and Leo Ahrens. Burial was in Jackson Township cemetery.

The son of James I. and Emma McCuen Sheeler, he was born Mar. 23rd, 1902, at Montezuma. He attended the rural schools of Montezuma and on Aug. 18th, 1936, was united in marriage with Anna Mary McMeekin of Montezuma at Marshalltown.

Mr. and Mrs. Sheeler made their home in Grinnell where he had been employed for over 35 years with the International Harvestor Farm Implement Store. He had held positions as shop foreman and more recently as partsman.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Mary; one brother, Leonard Sheeler of Newton; six nephews and nieces, Alvin Sheeler of Grinnell, Mrs. Phillip (Alene) Keefe of Arlington, Va., Mrs. Fay (Virginia) Wasson of Montezuma, and Eldred Laythel, and Francis Sheeler, all of San Diego, Calif. Also surviving are a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert McMeekin and Mrs. Herman Lemke, both of Grinnell; and his father-in-law, James McMeekin of Grinnell.
