LEWIS CLARKE BEELER

Lewis Clarke Beeler, youngest son of John and Ellen Beeler, was born on April 13, 1886 on a farm south of Grinnell and his entire life was spent in that community. He passed away at his home Monday evening Nov. 17 at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 4 days, after an illness of several years, which he endured with patience and Faith.

On December 30, 1908 he was united in marriage to Grace M. Fleming. To this union was born one daughter, Winifred, (Mrs. Lavene Kline). He was preceded in death by his father and mother, two sisters and two brothers.

Surviving him, besides his loving wife, with whom he shared almost 44 years of married life, are his daughter Winifred, one grandson, Robert Beeler Kline to whom he was greatly devoted and his son-in-law, Lavene Kline. There are also three sisters, Mrs. Mary Morrison, of Aurora, Ill., Mrs. Nancy Bradley of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Jane Reid of Grinnell and two brothers, Ora of Hugo, Colo., and George of Grinnell, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

He was converted when a young man and attended church regularly as long as health permitted. He was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, in Grinnell.

He was a kind and loving husband and father and was a great home lover. He will be greatly missed by his loved ones and many friends.
