HOLD RITES FOR BUCHANAN

Clinton L. Buchanan, 92, of the Marshall County Care Facility, died there on Sunday evening, Jan. 1.

Graveside services for Clinton Buchanan were held at 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Hazelwood Cemetery. The Rev. John C. Epperson officiated.

Born on Dec. 10, 1885, in Coal Valley, Ill., he was the son of Harry and Amanda Dusenberry Buchanan. He was raised and educated in Grinnell, where he stayed until 1937. He then moved to the Marshalltown area.

He married Emma Smith on Nov. 26, 1947, in Tama. She died in 1962.

He is survived by three stepchildren, Mrs. Herman (Mae) Jelsma of Union, Ia., Mrs. Earl (Nelllie) Butler of Mesa, Ariz., and Ray Smith of Gilman.
